Roger S. Gaudet, 35, of Beaumont, died Tuesday at The Moncton Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Born in Beaumont, he was a son of Bella (Belliveau) and the late Francois (Frankie) Gaudet, and was a building contractor by profession. He attended Notre Dame de l'Annonciation Roman Catholic Church, Pré-d'en-Haut.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, the former Phyllis Cormier; two sons, Martin and Réjean, both at home; five sisters, Mrs. Rhéal LeBlanc (Claudette) and Mrs. Bobby Boudreau (Jeannine), both of Beaumont, Mrs. Dollard LeBlanc (Annette) of Belliveau Village, Mrs. Paul Cormier (Bernice) of Fox Creek and Mrs. Allain LeBlanc (Aline) of Cormier's Cove; five brothers, Léopold and Léonce, both of Belliveau Village, and Jean, George and Marcel, all of Beaumont; and several nieces and nephews.

The body is at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook. Funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday at Notre Dame de l'Annonciation Roman Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
